Guide
Casino streamer setup, start to finish
A slot stream needs less hardware than a gaming stream and more tooling. The picture is a browser window; what makes it watchable is everything around it.

The broadcast layer
OBS is the standard, and free. You are capturing a browser window rather than a game, so GPU load is low and a mid-range machine is plenty. Spend the attention on encoder settings and a stable upload instead of hardware.
A facecam matters more on a slot stream than most formats, because the reaction is the content. Audio quality matters more still — people forgive a soft image and leave over bad sound.
The overlay layer
This is where slot streams differ from everything else. Your overlay needs to carry the state of the hunt, not just your name and socials.
- Live hunt table — what has been opened and what it paid
- Running totals and current break-even
- Recent results, best and worst bonus
- Chat, so people watching on a clip can follow it
- Alerts for big wins, and a leaderboard if you run points
The chat layer
A bot on the platform you stream on, handling commands, points and giveaways. If you have a Discord, connect it to the same points economy — a viewer with two balances is a viewer who stops caring about either.
The tracking layer
A bonus hunt tracker with a real slot database, a share link for viewers, and overlay widgets that read from the same hunt. Doing this with a spreadsheet on screen works for exactly one stream and then becomes the reason people tune out.
The business layer
If you intend to take sponsorships, start recording audience data from day one. A media kit built from real streams is worth more than a deck built from your best night, and campaign reporting is what turns a one-off deal into a renewal.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to start streaming slots?
- OBS, a stable upload, a microphone, an overlay that shows the hunt state, a chat bot, and a bonus hunt tracker. Hardware demands are low because you are capturing a browser window.
Which platform should I stream slots on?
- Kick is where most slot streaming happens, largely because of platform policy on gambling content. Check the current rules of any platform before you build a channel on it.
Do I need a bonus hunt tracker to start?
- Not technically, but the hunt state on screen is what keeps viewers through a three-hour opening phase. It is the single biggest difference between a watchable slot stream and an unwatchable one.
