How to run a giveaway on Kick

To run a giveaway on Kick, pick a prize and a keyword, have viewers enter by typing it in chat, close entries at a set time, and draw the winner in a way chat can check. A giveaway bot does the collecting and the drawing so you can keep streaming.

Set the prize and the rules first

Decide what the prize is, who can enter, how long entries stay open and how many entries each person gets. Say it in chat and pin it. Keep entry free: platform rules and the law where you live both apply to prizes, and a free entry keeps a giveaway a giveaway.

Take entries from chat

The simplest entry is a keyword or command in Kick chat. A bot collects every entry, removes duplicates and keeps the list, so you are not scrolling chat to find names.

Show it on stream

Put the giveaway on your overlay so the room can watch entries climb. It is better content than you narrating it, and it reminds late arrivals to enter.

Draw fairly — and prove it

A provably fair draw is one viewers can check. Before the draw, the system publishes a fingerprint of a secret key. After the draw it reveals the key, and anyone can replay the draw from the entry list and get the same winner. Nobody, the streamer included, can quietly re-pick a winner they like better.

Running it in StreamNeeds

Viewers enter from chat, with an optional points cost, and the same giveaway takes entries from Discord with one entry per person. The giveaway panel shows on your overlay, and you draw from the dashboard, a trigger URL or a Stream Deck button.

Every draw is provably fair on every plan, and plans that include the proof show viewers a link to check it. A winner who has never linked an account still receives their prize in points.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick a random winner on Kick?

Use a giveaway bot that collects entries from chat and draws for you. Picking by hand from scrolling chat is slow and impossible for viewers to check.

What is a provably fair giveaway?

One where a fingerprint of a secret key is published before the draw and the key is revealed after, so anyone can replay the draw and confirm the winner.

Can I run one giveaway on Kick and Discord at the same time?

With StreamNeeds, yes. It is one giveaway with one entry per person, whichever platform they entered from.

Run this on your own stream

Streamneeds gives you the hunt tracker, the overlay and the bot in one place.
