What to put on a YouTube banner

Your banner is the first thing people see on your channel page, so tell them why to subscribe: your name, what you make, and when new videos or streams go up. Keep it to a few words in the middle, because phones show only a thin strip of it.

Common questions

What size is YouTube channel art?

YouTube recommends 2560 × 1440 pixels, at least 2048 × 1152, and 6 MB or less. The maker exports 2560 × 1440 and keeps the file under the limit.

Why is my text cut off on mobile?

Phones only show the middle 1546 × 423 of a 2560 × 1440 banner. The maker places your words inside that strip; turn on the safe area to see it.

Can I add my schedule and socials?

Yes. Use the small line for your upload or stream schedule, and add your YouTube handle, Discord and other channels as socials.

Can I make matching Kick and Twitch banners?
