Kick's sizes and its 4 MB limit come from Kick's own help article, “How to update your profile”. Kick sets a minimum for the banner and profile picture, so we export bigger copies in the same shape.

Getting your Kick banner right

Your Kick banner sits at the top of your channel page, behind your profile picture and name. On a phone, Kick shows less of the left and right, so anything near the edges can be cut off. Turn on “Show safe areas” to see the part that shows everywhere and keep your name and text inside it.

The offline banner is a different image. It fills the video player when you aren't live, so people who land on your channel still see when you're next on. Want to make one from scratch? Try the Kick banner and offline screen maker.

How to change your Kick banner

  1. Go to kick.com/settings/profile while signed in.
  2. For the banner, click “Edit Banner Image”, upload your picture and click Confirm.
  3. For the offline banner, click “Update Offline Banner Image” and choose your 1920 × 1080 picture.

Common questions

What size is a Kick banner?

Kick asks for a profile banner of at least 1280 × 700 pixels, as a JPG or PNG under 4 MB. We export it at 1920 × 1050, which is the same shape but sharper on big screens. Phones show less of the sides, so keep your name and any words near the middle.

What size is a Kick offline banner?

1920 × 1080 pixels (16:9), as a JPG or PNG under 4 MB. It shows in the video player while you're offline, so it's a good place for your schedule and socials.

What size is a Kick profile picture?

At least 128 × 128 pixels, under 4 MB, and it's shown as a circle. We export 512 × 512 so it stays sharp, and the preview shows the circle so you can check nothing important is cut off.

Can I use the same banner on Kick and Twitch?

Not as it is: Kick's banner is about 1.8 wide for every 1 tall, while Twitch's is 1200 × 480 (2.5 to 1). Drop your picture in once, tick both, and drag the preview so each one is framed well. The offline screens are both 1920 × 1080, so those match.

My banner is too big to upload. What do I do?

Every file this tool makes is kept under the platform's limit. If a PNG would be too big, it switches to a high-quality JPG automatically.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark. Your picture is resized in your browser and never uploaded to us.
