How to add an emote on Kick

  1. Drop your emote into the box above. You can add a whole set at once.
  2. Turn on Trim empty edges so the art fills the square, and check how it reads on the dark and light chat backgrounds.
  3. Download the Kick file, or the whole set as a zip.
  4. On Kick, open your creator dashboard, go to the emotes settings and upload the file with its name.

Common questions

What size is a Kick emote?

Kick takes one square image per emote, up to 500 × 500 pixels and 1 MB, as a PNG or animated GIF. We export 256 × 256, which stays sharp in chat and keeps animated emotes small.

Can I make animated Kick emotes?

Yes. Drop in a GIF and every frame is resized with its timing kept. If it comes out over 1 MB, the tool steps it down to a smaller size until it fits.

Why does Kick reject my emote?

Usually because it isn't square, it's over 1 MB, or it's the wrong file type. Files from this tool are square PNGs or GIFs under the limit.

Can I use my Twitch emotes on Kick?

Yes, as long as you made them. Drop in your largest Twitch emote (112 px or the original art) and download the Kick size. Bigger source art looks better.

Are my emotes uploaded anywhere?

No. The resizing happens in your browser, so your art never leaves your device.
